Continental Airlines has introduced the FareLock option now that gives customers the chance to hold reservations and lock-in ticket prices for 72-hours. This comes with no commitment to actually purchase a ticket, according to a report in eTurboNews.
Passengers can opt for either a 72-hours or seven-day hold. The FareLock feature begins at US$5 for the former and US$9 for the latter and varies based on factors like itinerary, length of hold, and days to departure. Although reservation changes and cancellations with full refund come without a fee, the FareLock fee is non-refundable.
