Severe weather conditions in Europe continue to cause travel chaos, shifting now from airports, to railways and roads.
Germany s Berlin-Hannover rail link was shut down due to frozen overhead wires. An estimated 700-passengers were forced to wait for hours overnight in five inter-city trains stuck between Berlin and Hannover, according to a report in Tour Expi.
Heavy snowfall has also caused blocked traffic on both interstate and local roads. Reports have come in of a 1,734 road accidents in North Rhine-Westphalia in a span of 24 hours, while the A9 motorway had a blockage of 51-vehicles, resulting in a 15-kilometre tailback in the direction of Munich.
