The Northern Territory (NT) government has partnered with Etihad and Virgin Blue in launching an online marketing campaign to promote Northern Territory tourism to the European market.
The campaign, launched earlier this week, will capitalise on social media and is aimed towards potential visitors from the UK, Germany, Ireland, Italy and France. Malarndirri McCarthy, tourism minister, Northern Territory, was quoted in eTravel Blackboard as having said that this campaign would leverage social media and target 20-to-45 year olds, as most people in this age group research and book their holidays online. The campaign will use purpose-built web pages, Facebook and Twitter to promote Northern Territory tourism.
