On June 17th 2010, Chairman of South Korean s Pusan Film Festival, Professor Li Yongguan, visited Communication University of China(CUC) and talked with Li Xingguo, Dean of School of Television and Film Art, on 2010 Chinese-Korean College Students Video Exhibition . The two sides had detailed discussion of this coming exhibition.
School of Television and Film Art of CUC has had communication and cooperation with the Organization of South Korean s Pusan Film Festival since 2006.With the great support of chairman of South Korean s Pusan Festival Li Yongguan, the first video exhibition was held in Pusan in October, 2009 and received positive comments from both China and Korea. It is the first time that South Korean s Pusan Film Festival will be held in China and be undertaken by the School of Television and Film Art of CUC this year. On the basis of friendly cooperation, both sides involved have exchanged views on organization of the festival, guidelines as well as goals. Some specific requirements of this competition had been discussed and consulted before both sides reached the agreement. In the meantime, both sides expressed their willingness to get more positive feedback and and high attainments in the quality of the vedios and the experience of the creators during the exhibition. Both parties showed high expectations of the activity and hoped that it would be held successfully.
This exchange has paved the way for 2010 Chinese-Korean College Students Video Exhibition and prompted the preparation work.. The two sides shared a lot and laid a sound foundation for further collaboration.
