President Su Zhiwu Met with Kim Hyun Su, the President of Korean Broadcasting Institute and His Party and Signed MoU

On June 28th, 2010, in company with Vice-President Ding Junjie, President Su Zhiwu met with Kim Hyun Su, President of Korean Broadcasting Institute (KBI) Kang Hyun Doo, the emeritus professor of Communication University of China(CUC) and Seoul National University and part of delegates presented at China-Korean Media Institutes Cooperation Forum and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on academic exchanges with President Kim.

To begin with, President Su Zhiwu extended welcome to the KBI s visit and congratulation on the success of China-Korean Media Institutes Cooperation Forum which was held in CUC. President Su pointed out that CUC had always kept a good cooperation with Korean universities and media institutes and developed continuously in scientific cooperative research and exchanges of teachers and students. CUC and KBI can enhance communication and learn from each other in the field of development of techniques in new media. He hoped that the two sides could cooperate in more areas in the future.
President Kim expressed that it was a great pleasure to cooperate with CUC, who enjoyed a long standing reputation and was grateful to CUC for its great support during this forum, which made great progress. He hoped that they could cooperate in more areas with CUC in the future.
Afterwards, the two sides signed the Cooperative Agreement of CUC-KBI Academic Exchanges Program . This three-year agreement includes an annual China-Korean discussion held in turn and periodic visits and academic achievement exchanges.
After the signing ceremony, President Su entertained President Kim, Kang Hyun Doo and all the delegates presented with feast . Vice-President Ding Junjie also attended the feast and gave an address.

President Assistant Liu Liqun, Director of Liberal Arts Science Research Department Hu Zhifeng, Dean of International Exchange and Cooperation Department Zhang Lili, Vice Dean of International Exchange and Cooperation Department Liang yan, Vice Dean of Communication Research Institute Chen Weixing and Liu Chang, Deputy Director of Asian Media Research Center Wen Chunying attended the activities above.
In Korean Broadcasting Institute, established in 1989, now there have been more than 900 individual members and 45 group members. KBI devotes itself to the academic promotion and communication with concerned industries, with its main activities covering such fields as research and teaching of broadcast TV, introduction of academic resources into broadcast TV industry, quality improvement of practitioners in broadcast TV, building first-class broadcast TV culture, and worldwide promotion of knowledge share and interaction among academia, industry and policy makers.
