On the afternoon of June,13th 2010 President Su Zhiwu met with Professor Ebdon President of University of Bedfordshire, and his party. The two sides exchanged views on cooperation in the fields of teacher and student exchanges co-sponsoring and so on.
President Su Zhiwu pointed out that the dissemination of film and television culture was an important part of international exchange. Relying on the professional advantages of CUC, by means of subtitle translation of Chinese and foreign film and television works, making effective cultural communication and exchange, would make production study and research closely integrated with each other. The University of Bedfordshire and CUC had great cooperation space on the expertise in this area, and the key was to properly handle the issue of language communication. In addition, the two universities also had good prospects for cooperation in the news media and other disciplines. President Su Zhiwu also learned more about the specific situation of joint education and professional degree training between University of Bedfordshire and related institutions and universities in China. President Su Zhiwu said, relying on the newly established International School and the power of relevant departments and schools of CUC, in line with the attitude of the easier first and advancing overall, the two sides must be able to benefit mutually and develop together in the process of implementing the international education strategy.
