From November 18 to 20, the Group participated in China International Logistics Week (CILW) 2009 held in Nanjing, showcasing Group s leading logistics concepts and the strong service ability of logistics products. President Zhao Huxiang, Li Jianzhang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, attended the opening ceremony of CILW. President Zhao Huxiang delivered a speech entitled How to Deal with the Global Financial Crisis for China s Logistics Industry at the Global Logistics Forum 2009 held during the CILW, wining great acclaim from the participants.
The exhibition team was led by Xu Jiandong, Director of Group Office. The exhibition was initiated by the Group, co-organized by Group Office, Transportation Management Department, CSC and Sinotrans Limited with over 20 persons from such business segments as land transportation, trucking, chartering, airlines, ship agent, container transportation, storehouse, business along the Yangtze River, project logistics, supply chain logistics and exhibition logistics participated in the CILW.
At the exhibition, the Group built a 300 square meters of special design booth, organized 20 business promotion events, distributed relevant publicity materials, received on-site business consulting, and conducted business discussions and negotiations.
The Fifth CILW, co-hosted by the China Communications and Transportation Association, Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and Nanjing Municipal People's Government and organized by the Advanced Media Group and China Shipping Gazette, was the largest, highest level of, and the most internationally influential one of its kind in China and even in Asia.
On November 18, accompanied by Deputy Secretary Li Jianzhang, President Zhao Huxiang respectively made a courtesy call on Luo Zhijun, Governor of Jiangsu Province, and Ji Jianye, Mayor of Nanjing City. The two sides exchanged views on how to cement cooperation in the future and other issues.
During the participation in the CILW, President Zhao Huxiang and Deputy Secretary Li Jianzhang respectively listened to the work report from the leading groups of Jiangsu Branch and SINOTRANS Jiangsu Co., Ltd.
