MoE Officials Visit XJTLU

XJTLU, China - 18th October 2010 On the morning of 17th October, officials of Ministry of Education (MoE) visited Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.

In the company of Mr. Ye Feng and Mr. Chen Long, Director and Deputy Director of Dushu Lake Higher Education Town Administrative Office, Deputy Director of MoE Department of International Cooperation and Communication (DICC), Mr. Liu Baoli, Director of DICC Asia-Africa Office, Mr. Wu Jinsong and other guests visited XJTLU.

Executive President Prof. Xi Youmin, Vice Presidents Prof. Yang Minzhu, Prof. David Sadler and Mr. Ding Yimin welcomed the guests.

During the meeting, Professor Xi introduced the education model, university vision and mission and current development to the guests. He also enphasized XJTLU's unique integration of British and Chinese education strengths.

In answering Mr. Liu Baoli's question about university current status, Prof. Xi also introduced the information of this year's student recruitment of both local and international students.

The MoE guests also visited the newly opened Science Buildings. Vice President Mr. Ding Yinmin briefed the functions of the new buildings and led a tour of laboratories, lecture theatres, common-rooms in Building 2.

Deputy Director of MoE Department of International Cooperation and Communication, Mr. Liu Baoli hailed the achievements of XJTLU and expressed his wishes to the university of future success.
