2011 Xi-Pu Football League drops the curtain

Organised by the Sports Department of Student Union, the 2011 Xi-Pu Football League kicked off on March 12th with four football teams, namely XJTLU, XJTLU FC, HKU Space and USTC (university of Science and Technology of China), and ended with a great success on March 13th.

XJTLU FC and HKU Space met in the final on March 13th after beating their competitors respectively in the first round on March 12th.

Before the final took place, XJTLU and USTC football team started their competition at 9:00 am in Wenxing Football Park for the third position. During the match between the two teams, XJTLU s players Siliang Guo goaled twice, Jiedong Xie got one point. Finally, XJTLU team won the third place with the score of 3:1.

At 10:30 am, XJTLU FC and HKU Space started to fight for the championship. In the first half of the match, XJTLU FC s player Wang Huaqi opened the scoring, and XJTLU held the lead till the end of the first half. In the second half of the match, HKU Space accelerated the pace attack, their captain Sheng Shen got 3 points, foreign player Antonio got 1point. At last HKU Space football team won the final with the score of 4:1.

The captain of HKU Space Sheng Shen won the Golden Shoe Prize, the prize of the Best Player was awarded to the captain of XJTLU football team - Baolong Li.
