The Philippine National Police is looking to deploy more policemen in the top 14-tourist destinations of the country. The additional force will have extensive training on securing both local as well as foreign tourists under the Tourist-Oriented Police for Community Order and Protection (TOP-COP), according to a report in eTurboNews.
Apart from Manila and Cebu, the other priority destinations are Camarines Sur, Baguio City, Davao City, Boracay (Aklan), Cagayan de Oro, Zambales, Bohol, Puerto Princesa (Palawan), Camiguin, Cagayan Valley, Negros Oriental and Ilocos Norte.
