News (Reporter: Wu Minwei): at the press conference for CPPCC and NPC held this March, our premier answered reporters questions concerning the across-strait relationship: I d like to tell a story. There lived a painter in Yuan Dynasty who was named Huang Gongwang. He painted a renowned work Fuchun Mountain Life. For hundreds of years, the painting passed through many hands, and now one half is in Zhejiang Museum, and the other is in Taipei Palace Museum.

After two months hard work, the natural silk tapestry reel Fuchun Mountain Life created by Li Jialin, dean of the College of Art and Design of ZSTU, with the theme of Zhejiang People Longing for Unification , was finished on the eve of May 1st, and chosen as an exhibit for 2010 Expo Craftsmanship and Fine Arts Master s Work Tour.

The natural silk tapestry reel Fuchun Mountain Life is 1130 meters long and 37 meters high, and made with the advanced high-density full imaging digital emulation color silk textile technology , with 100% superior silk, combining the Shengshantu collected in Zhengjiang Museum, and Wuyongshijuan collected at Taipei palace Museum. The work makes the best of the natural silk fibers, perfectly represents the spirit of delicacy, and so is close to the original work. The work remain to be splendid and luxurious, perfectly delivers the morbidezza luster and cultural connotations of natural silk, and in specific lights, it reflects fantastic dreamlike effects, which considerably promotes expressivity of silk works.

In 2004 Li Jialin creatively proposed Emulation Color Silk Textile Technology Theory , and based on this, he developed the high-density full imaging digital emulation color silk textile technology. The technology completely altered the silk textile display method used worldwide for over 100 years, with various colors and delicate texture, it renders that subtle and delicate meticulously-detailed paintings, thick-and-heavy colored oil paintings, radiant and enchanting gouache, romantic charm of calligraphical strokes, etc, are perfectly accomplished, which makes the silk textile looks like oil painting, and are attracted to European and American consumers. Mr Li Jialin is therefore named heir of Chinese tapestry .
