ZSTU undertakes activity of IMTET Conference

With the opening of the 2010 Zhejiang International Conference on Scientific & Technological Exchanges (ICSTE) in Hangzhou, Trip to ShaoXing for Experts of Modern Textile Equipment Technology , co-organized by ZSTU and the City of ShaoXing, was launched at Shaoxing International Hotel ,where the visiting guests were warmly received by, ZSTU s President Qiu Songliang, ZSTU s Vice-President Chen Wenxing, Lu Aihua, Assistant to ZSTU s President, Director of ZSTU s President Office and persons concerned from functional departments.

Prof. Hu Xudong, Dean of ZSTU s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering & Automation presided over this Trip. Domestic and overseas experts and scholars as well as over one hundred and thirty entrepreneurs from ShaoXing exchanged their views on the situation and development of Chinese textile machinery manufacturing. The experts and scholars were from well-known enterprises of Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, France and Chinese Association of Textile Machinery Equipment and the TextileResearchCenter (Taiwan-based) and the Key Laboratory of Modern Textile Industry Technology.

The Symposium for the Trip reflected the latest development in research and technological development. Liu Jiaqiang, Deputy-secretary of the Association of the Chinese Textile Machinery Equipment delivered the report entitled To Envisage the Development of Textile Machinery Manufacturing during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan .

ZSTU s co-organizing the Trip attested to the progress it has achieved in the field of textile. Currently, ZSTU has been undertaking the National Science-Supporting Project The Research & Development and Industrialization of the Advanced Digital Textile Equipment , which has made certain breakthroughs in crucial areas of textile equipment, thus leading to overall elevation of the design and manufacturing of Chinese textile equipments.
