SINOTRANS is Appointed as General Agent of Logistics for Coal Expo China

On April 11, the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of 2007 China (Taiyuan) International Coal & Energy New Industry Expo and the Department of Fairs and Events Transportation of SINOTRANS Limited entered into a cooperation agreement which has officially appointed SINOTRANS as the exclusive general agent for the transport of displaying items for the first Coal Expo in China.

Qiao Liangsheng, deputy director-general of the Commerce Department of Shanxi Province and director of the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee, and Qi Yihong, general manager of the Department of Fairs and Events Transportation of SINOTRANS Limited signed on behalf of each party on the agreement respectively.

Present at the signing ceremony were relevant persons in charge of the international and domestic invitation of businesses and exhibitions of the Commerce Department of Shanxi Province, Feng Tiansheng, general manager of Shanxi Company and salespersons of the Department of Fairs and Events Transportation of SINOTRANS Limited.

On the contract signing ceremony, Qiao Liangsheng, deputy director-general gave an introduction to the coal expo, fully recognized SINOTRANS supports and helps to the organizing committee in the previous period and hoped that participating businesses will learn more about SINOTRANS through the high-quality transport services.

He also put forward requirements in terms of the project cooperation. Qi Yihong, general manager of the Department of Fairs and Events Transportation of SINOTRANS Limited expressed appreciations on behalf of SINOTRANS to the Organizing Committee for selecting SINOTRANS as the logistics partner; he briefly introduced the exhibition transport business of SINOTRANS and preliminarily put forward a tentative proposal and the implementing plan for providing the logistics services for the projects of this coal expo.

2007 China (Taiyuan) International Coal & Energy New Industry Expo will be held from Sept. 16 to Sept. 18 of this year. This coal expo is a state-level, international and professional commerce conference which is approved by the State Council and jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People s Republic of China and the People s Government of Shanxi Province; and it is the first international Coal & Energy Expo in China.

It is learned that the Coal & Energy Expo will be held once a year since 2007 and Taiyuan is the fixed hosting place. The scale of the first coal expo is 30,000 square meters with 1,500 standard booths.
